MELBOURNE’S Xavier Lindsay has been recognised for his performance against Richmond, earning the Round 7 AFL Rising Star nomination.

In the team’s 20-point win over the Tigers, Lindsay collected 21 disposals, 15 kicks and 11 marks.

While only six games into his career, the 18-year-old has shown composure beyond his years, successfully slotting into the AFL side seamlessly since arriving just five months ago.

The silky Demon hasn’t missed a beat in his time at the club, averaging 18.6 disposals and keeping his own among some of the league’s best players.

He’s become most well-known for his work along Melbourne’s wing, while also showing his versatility taking on various roles across the ground.

Lindsay joined Melbourne with pick No.11 in last year’s National Draft, arriving from the Gippsland Power.
