MELBOURNE's AFL playing list has taken part in surfing and Survivor challenges on the second day of its Lorne pre-season camp.

The Demons' young group of Western Australians looked at home on the waves as van Rooyen, Woewodin, McVee and Tholstrup all impressed in the Lorne surf. 

The morning's team-building Survivor challenge saw Brayshaw, Bowey, Salem and Adams reign supreme, taking out a series of challenges against of mix of club staff and teammates. 

The title of Melbourne Demons sole survivor came down to a sudden-death match of Tug-of-War, with the champions toppling a team of Farris-White, Spargo and staff.

Christian Petracca, Kysaiah Pickett, Andy Moniz-Wakefield and Oliver Sestan found themselves on the bottom of the totem pole, awarded the wooden spoon for their morning's efforts. 

The slew of competitions included maths and general knowledge riddles, competitive rounds of Connect Four, tennis ball slingshots, relay races and Minesweeper.

Adam Tomlinson flexed his mental muscle with a strong performance in the riddle event. 

The players returned to training on Wednesday for the final session of 2023 with training to recommence in mid-January.
