IT truly was a breakout year for young gun Trent Rivers.
The 22-year-old played 25 games over the 2023 season, bringing electric run-and-carry off half-back and hitting the scoreboard on occasions.
Rivers was recognised at the best and fairest, taking home the Coaches’ Award to go with a career-high tenth-place finish.

In Round 4 the Dees travelled to Perth and Rivers finished the day with 27 disposals, six tackles, 11 contested possessions, seven intercept possessions and seven score involvements, earning himself the electrifying performance of the week.
Round 23 was a second career-high game for the Demons, recording 27 disposals in a 27-point win over the Hawks.
