THIS WEEKEND, Lily Mithen will celebrate a special milestone.

She will become the second player in Narrm’s history to play 50 AFLW games, all in the Demon colours.

Mithen has been an important and reliable member of the Demons AFLW program since its inception, named as one of Narrm’s marquee players for the inaugural 2017 season.

The 24-year-old is known on field for her competitiveness and hunger to compete. Off the field, Mithen has become a beloved leader, with her personality a favourite among players, staff and fans alike.

In 2019, she was the recipient of the club’s Trademark Player Award and has finished fourth in the 2017 and 2022 club Best and Fairest counts.

On this week’s episode of the Lil & Lize podcast, Mithen spoke of her joy in reaching the milestone alongside her Narrm teammates.

“I’m looking forward to the game,” Mithen said.

“It’s been a long time, seven seasons, it does take a bit to get there.

“There’s been a few at the club that have done it and I’m looking forward to following in their footsteps.

“And it’s a really proud moment to be able to play 50 games in these colours and for this great footy club.”

Join Mithen in celebrating her milestone this weekend and head to Casey Fields for the Demons Round 4 match against the Lions.

Tickets are still available for the Sunday game, with the first bounce scheduled for 4:10pm (AEST).
