With talent waiting to return and some unlucky stories, Casey has made four changes as it names its side for this weekend’s VFL Grand Final.

After a dominant season and two superb finals wins, the Grand Final is finally here for the Casey Demons.

The Demons have officially named their side to take on Southport in Sunday’s match as they vie for their first premiership since 1999 after losing on the big stage in 2016 and 2018.

With some Melbourne-listed talent waiting to return, none are bigger than Jake Melksham, who qualifies for the Demons side.

Joining Melksham will be Bailey Laurie and Taj Woewodin, who have been cleared to play following injury concerns.

Defender Aidan Quigley also gets his chance at living out a fairy tale, coming in for Jake Bowey, who unfortunately doesn’t qualify after Melbourne’s AFL sides were knocked out of the finals last weekend.

Tom McDonald has had an injury setback after making a remarkable comeback and won’t play, while Fraser Rosman must watch on from the sidelines after suffering a concussion in Casey’s Preliminary Final thrashing of Brisbane.

After a superb debut year at VFL level, Roan Steele is also unlucky to miss as he makes way for the Grand Final.

If fans can’t get down to Ikon Park on Sunday for the first bounce, they can watch the match online on a live stream on the AFL website or on Channel 7 live and free from 12:30PM.
