MELBOURNE will be without ruckmen Max Gawn and Majak Daw for the next couple of matches, with the duo both succumbing to injuries in the past week.

As announced earlier, Gawn suffered a syndesmosis injury to his ankle against the Magpies on Queen’s Birthday, which will sideline him for two to four games.

Daw could also miss as many as four weeks after straining his pectoral tendon at training.

Adding to the recent injury news is Daniel Turner, who will undergo surgery tomorrow to stabilise facial fractures sustained in his debut last Monday.

The clash with Jamie Elliott also caused Turner a concussion, but the facial injury is what will keep him out of action for the next three to four matches.

Tom McDonald is beginning his recovery from a Lisfranc injury to his foot, with a timeframe of 10-12 weeks likely for his return.

In positive news, Jake Melksham (hand) and Fraser Rosman (hamstring) will both be available for selection after missing a week with their respective injuries.
