INS - Harmes, Langdon, McDonald, Salem, Tomlinson
OUTS - May (concussion), Bedford, Melksham, Rivers, Weideman (omitted), Dunstan (used medi-sub)

MELBOURNE will be boosted by the addition of five players to its starting 22 ahead of its match against top-eight side Sydney on Saturday night.

James Harmes (calf), Ed Langdon (ribs), Tom McDonald (ankle) and Christian Salem (knee) will all make their return from the injury list, while Adam Tomlinson comes into the side following several weeks of consistency in the VFL.

Of the five additions, the most exciting to make their return will be Salem, who will be lining up for his first game since Round 1, having been sidelined with a knee injury since that opening match of the season.

Steven May has been forced to miss this week’s game under concussion protocols, following a head clash that saw him subbed off during Round 11.

Toby Bedford, Jake Melksham and Trent Rivers have been omitted for the game but will make up three quarters of the team’s emergency list alongside Mitch Brown.

Melbourne will be looking to bounce back from its first loss of the season last week, preparing to face the Swans on its home deck of the MCG.

The Casey Demons will kick-off the Saturday action in a VFL curtain-raiser at 3:45pm, ahead of the AFL match which begins at 7:25pm.

Tickets for the game are still available, which supporters can purchase here.
