Krstel Petrevski has today informed the club of her decision to explore a move back to Western Australia for the next AFL Women’s season.

Petrevski, who hails from Halls Creek, joined the Demons during the 2019 AFL Women’s Draft and has since played four games in the red and blue.

Narrm AFLW List Manager Todd Patterson said while the 21-year-old will be missed, the club is fully supportive of her decision.

“Krstel has been presented with a fantastic opportunity to return home” Patterson said.

“Whilst we’re disappointed to see Krstel go, we fully respect her decision and will work with all relevant parties to achieve the best outcome, once the AFLW Sign and Trade Period begins.

“Krstel is, and always will be, such a special person within our club and its history.

“She has a larger-than-life personality and what she has brought to our club, through educating our players and staff of her culture, has been really powerful.”

Petrevski is the third player set to depart the Demons, with Brenna Tarrant earlier joining Sydney, and Jackie Parry expressing her wish to explore other opportunities.

For the duration of Sir Doug Nicholls Round, Melbourne Football Club will be rebranded and referred to as the Narrm Football Club.
