AFTER a delayed start to 2022, premiership defender Michael Hibberd is available for selection this weekend.

The 32-year-old, who hasn’t played a game since last year’s Grand Final, suffered a calf injury in the latter stages of the pre-season, but he will be training without restriction in the lead up to Round 7.

In another boost for Melbourne, Jake Lever and Jack Viney, who both missed the win over Richmond, will be cleared of the AFL’s Health and Safety Protocols and fit to face the Hawks.

Daniel Turner (foot) and Christian Salem (knee) are progressing through their respective rehab programs, while Blake Howes has undergone surgery on his foot and will begin his recovery process.

The Demons have just three players sidelined, with no concerns coming out of the AFL or VFL matches last weekend.

Watch below as Performance Manager Selwyn Griffith provides an update on the club’s full injury list.
