Melbourne has appointed former Richmond and Fremantle player, Reece Conca as the club’s Player Development Manager.

Conca retired from AFL football at the conclusion of the 2021 season, following an 11-year career that saw him play 150 games across two clubs.

A member of Fremantle’s leadership group for the past three years, Conca is a previous nominee for the Jim Stynes Community Award and is currently completing an Undergraduate Certificate in Counselling.

General Manager Football Performance Alan Richardson said Conca was an impressive operator who would bring a wealth of experience to the club.

“Reece is a very impressive young man who has garnered a wealth of experience across his playing career at both Fremantle and Richmond,” said Richardson.

“He is a quality character, with a passion for supporting the development of players and ensuring they have the best environment to thrive.

“We are excited to welcome Reece to our program and look forward to the impact he will have on our footy club.”

Conca will commence his role with the club in January.
