Season Overview:
Although Bedford didn’t feature in Melbourne’s starting 22 this season, he made sure to make his mark at VFL level, playing in all nine Casey Demon games.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the VFL had a limited season, but the 21-year-old was still able to develop into one of Casey’s most consistent players. Bringing high energy and the ability to perform under pressure, Bedford became an important member of the side and was rewarded for his efforts, finishing second in the club’s best and fairest award. One of his top performances came in Casey’s Round 1 win against Box Hill where he collected 16 disposals, two goals and eight tackles.

Finishing off the season on a high, Bedford signed a new contract that will see him stay in the red and blue for the upcoming 2022 season.
