The Rigoni name is synonymous with Melbourne Football Club, as the daughter of 107-game Demon, Guy Rigoni.
Jemma now has the opportunity to write her own name in the club’s history books, coming to the club via the 2023 AFLW National Draft.
Rigoni spent her junior career playing for the Oakleigh Chargers, and while it was unfortunately interrupted with an ACL injury when she was 17, the young star persevered and proved her talent as a top age player in 2023.
She acted as a train-on player with the Demons in 2023, and the club were thrilled when the opportunity arose to take her on as a full-time player in 2024.
She has already been viewed as a top defensive talent in the draft pool, with breathtaking speed which makes her versatile across the ground, including on the wing.
