Jordan Ivey was scouted and picked up as an injury replacement player for Carlton midway through the inaugural AFL Women’s season. She played two games before rupturing her ACL and subsequently missing the following 2018 AFLW Season.
Jordi accepted an offer to join the expansion side Geelong in 2018 as she completed her 14-month long ACL rehab. She went on to play 31 games for Geelong and accepted the role of Vice-Captain for the club in 2021.
Jordi’s teaching career led her to move to Melbourne, so requested a trade from Geelong to play for a team closer to home. She landed at the Melbourne Demons and has become a valuable part of the team’s forward line group.
