MELBOURNE’S six off-season recruits have received their numbers, as the club begins to finalise its list ahead of the 2020 season.

The Demons’ top pick in the 2019 National Draft has taken the lowest number on offer, while a former Giant will be wearing the same digits as he has in the past.

Two youngsters will be looking to do some Melbourne greats proud, and a running wingman will be making the No.15 his own.

While all 44 Demons have received their guernseys for 2020, Melbourne still has one spot remaining on the rookie list, with the option to select another player in the lead up to Round 1.

Check out all of the club’s new numbers below.

Luke Jackson – No.6

Luke Jackson, taken with the third pick in this year’s draft, will start his AFL career in the No.6 guernsey which was made vacant by Jordan Lewis.

Standing at 199cm, the 18-year-old is sure to excite Melbourne fans in the future, bringing plenty of versatility to the side.

Jackson will be hoping to have an established career in the No.6 and pass Frank Davis who played 168 games in the jumper from 1964.

Ed Langdon – No.15

Ed Langdon will be pulling on the No.15 in 2020 after crossing over from Fremantle during the Trade Period.

The former Docker had No.26 on his back in Perth, but will be taking up Billy Stretch’s old locker at AAMI Park.

Stan Alves holds the richest red and blue history in the guernsey, playing 226 games from 1965.

Adam Tomlinson – No.20

Adam Tomlinson became a Demon during the Free Agency Period and will be wearing the same number as he did in his 140 games with GWS.

The versatile wingman has taken Corey Maynard’s No.20 and will be looking to have an immediate impact for his new club next season.

Matthew Febey’s 143-game career is the longest in the guernsey for Melbourne, closely followed by Colin Garland (141 games).

Trent Rivers – No.24

Trent Rivers will be wearing a famous Melbourne guernsey in 2020, taking the high-flying Russell Robertson’s No.24.

The 18-year-old was selected with pick No.32 in the 2019 National Draft and has taken Jay Kennedy Harris’ locker since moving across from Western Australia.

Rivers is a running half-back flanker who will look to push into the midfield as he develops his craft in the coming years.

Kysaiah Pickett – No.36

Kysaiah Pickett is set to bring plenty of excitement to the field for the Demons and will be doing so in Aaron Davey’s No.36.

The guernsey, which was made vacant by Jeff Garlett at season’s end, has a rich history in the red and blue, and the first round draft pick is only going to add to that.

The 18-year-old small forward has an incredible highlights reel and will be looking to light up the MCG in his debut season.

Mitch Brown – No.38

Mitch Brown will be wearing the No.38 at his third AFL club after pulling on No.28 at the Bombers and No.1 at Geelong.

The versatile key forward is the Demons’ newest recruit, signing on as a rookie during the Supplemental Selection Period.

Jeremy Howe has played the most games in the number for the club (100), while Tim Smith’s retirement last season opened up the position.
