The Casey Demons have stormed to a commanding 94-point win over the Sydney Swans in Round 10 of the Smithy’s VFL, dominating from start to finish in a powerhouse display at Tramway Oval.
From the outset, Casey looked sharp inside 50 as they moved the ball with speed, precision, and intent. After sneaking ahead in a high-scoring first quarter, the Demons kept the foot on the gas, piling on 19 goals across the final quarters and turning the match into a blowout.
Matthew Jefferson was unstoppable, finishing with five goals and asserting himself as a key forward threat. He was well supported by Paddy Cross (3 goals) and a deep forward line that saw 13 individual goal kickers, highlighting Casey’s versatility and unpredictability in attack.
Midfielders pushed forward with aggression, contributing to the scoreboard and stretching Sydney’s defensive structure. Jack Billings, Mitch Hardie and Riley Bonner were constantly driving the ball forward, capitalising on repeat inside 50 entries and creating ongoing scoring opportunities.
The final quarter was pure dominance with 11 goals, overwhelming the Swans and showcasing Casey's cohesion, strength, intensity and killer instinct. Whether it was quick ball movement through the corridor or strong build-up from the back half, the Demons dictated terms and played the game entirely on their own terms.
