ZURICH Australia has once again thrown its support behind the Round for Reach, donating $25,000 to The Reach Foundation.

The significant contribution marks the fifth consecutive year that Melbourne’s Co-Principal Partner has got behind the dedicated round, which recognises Reach’s important work in empowering young Australians.

This year’s donation supports the Kick Start Change campaign, an initiative shining a light on the preventative nature of Reach’s work and takes Zurich’s total contributions over the past five years to $150,000.

The Demons will be calling on the football community to help change the mental health game this week before they host Sydney at the MCG for the special game on Sunday afternoon.

Linda Griffin, Head of Brand, Marketing and Corporate Affairs at Zurich Australia, said it was an honour to, once again, support the round.

“We’re proud to continue our ongoing support of the annual Round for Reach for the fifth year," Griffin said.

“By supporting preventative mental health programs like those provided by Reach, we can shift the focus towards empowering young people with the skills and resilience needed to navigate life’s challenges, before a crisis arises.”

Reach, which was co-founded by Melbourne great Jim Stynes in 1994, takes a preventative approach, with 100% youth-led workshops designed to give young people the skills to navigate life’s challenges.

With only one percent of funding going towards prevention, every dollar donated to the Kick Start Change campaign will make a difference in the helping Reach shift the dial on the mental health crisis.

All donations (over $2) are tax deductible.

Melbourne will celebrate Reach’s crucial work, as well as Stynes’ incredible legacy, in the lead up to Sunday’s match.
