Season Overview:
Smith joined the Demons at the start of the year as a product of Melbourne’s Next Generation Academy. The 19-year-old trained hard during pre-season and earned himself a spot on the club's rookie list in March via the Pre-Season Supplemental Selection.
Smith's 2021 saw him play seven games for the Casey Demons and further develop his craft as a midfielder. He averaged 14.3 disposals, with his best game of the season coming in the VFL's Round 1, where he had 20 disposals, 14 kicks and six tackles.
To round out his first year as a Demon, Smith signed a new deal that will see him remain in the red and blue for the 2022 season.
