SHARPSHOOTER Bayley Fritsch has recommitted to Melbourne, signing a three-year contract extension that will see him remain a Demon until at least the end of 2029.
The 29-year-old has established himself as one of the league’s most reliable goalkickers, having been the club's leading goalkicker for five consecutive seasons from 2020-2024.

Melbourne List Manager Tim Lamb said Fritsch’s extension was an important result for the club.
“Bayley has been an important player for us over the journey, and we're pleased to see him extend his time at Melbourne,” Lamb said.
“His versatility and ability to impact games in different ways has made him one of our most dependable forwards.
“We’re excited about what he can continue to bring to the group in the years ahead.”
Earlier this season, Fritsch produced a four-goal performance in Melbourne’s Round 3 victory over Carlton, highlighting his ongoing importance to the red and blue.
Fritsch has kicked 305 goals across his nine-year career, including six goals in Melbourne’s 2021 AFL Grand Final premiership, where the Demons claimed their first flag in 57 years.
Originally from Coldstream, Victoria, Fritsch was selected by Melbourne with Pick 31 in the 2017 AFL National Draft after impressing with the Casey Demons in the VFL.
