Plus, we take your questions from the outer (21:00).

AARON vandenBerg says he never doubted he would play again at the highest level.

Speaking on Inside Melbourne, vandenBerg conceded there were days he felt pretty sore and thought “gee, my foot might not ever make it back”.

But he said he came into the club every day with a mindset that he would make it back.

“If you don’t, then it’s defeated you,” he said.

“That’s when a long-term injury can become really traumatic.

“Always in the back of my mind, I believed that I could get back – it was just more if I could get back, is my foot going to be normal and can I play good football again?

“I didn’t want to get back and be hampered by a foot and just try to get by.”

vandenBerg said he was “extremely grateful” for the club believing in him.

“The medical staff and the coaching staff are fantastic with me,” he said.

“You’d like to have the belief in you that you’d play good football too.

“It goes both ways and I’m grateful that I’ve got the opportunity again and I hope there are many more years to come of doing it.”
