FOR the second time in 2018, Jay Lockhart has claimed the King Gee Trademark VFL Player of the Week.

The young Tasmanian previously won the award in Round 1.

Lockhart was one of the best Casey-listed players in the 106-point win over Frankston, picking up 14 touches.

Coach Jade Rawlings said Lockhart has been a consistent performer in Casey's start to 2018.

"Jay has consistently demonstrated Trademark actions throughout this season, but this was clearly evident against Frankston," Rawlings said.

"Jay has been able to be adapt with his positioning from week to week, but his move into the midfield has been very productive.

"He has a great attack on the ball, is prepared to tackle and is very team orientated. He has earnt the respect of his coaches and team mates with how he is going about his football and work ethic around the club."

Lockhart will receive a $150 voucher to spend on King Gee gear.
