BERNIE Vince has pulled up strongly from his VFL practice match against Collingwood at Olympic Park Oval and will be right in the mix for round two.

Elite performance manager Dave Misson said Vince would be pushing to play against Greater Western Sydney at StarTrack Oval in Canberra on Saturday.

“It was his second game in the VFL and he played decent minutes in the Casey game against Collingwood and pulled up really well,” he told Dee TV.

“I’m sure he’ll be pushing his claims this week.

Misson said high-flyer Jeremy Howe had pulled up OK, following a hamstring injury sustained in January.

“It was pretty big minutes for Howey – [it] was his first game back,” he said.

“He’s pretty sore for the first couple of days. He had a bit of a run around today (Tuesday), but he should train on Thursday and be available again.”

Defender Dean Terlich also played his first match back this year, after an interrupted pre-season.

“[He] played 60 or 70 minutes for Casey. It was the first game back for Terls. Again, he pulled up pretty well,” Misson said.
