ROOKIE James Magner has been elevated onto the senior list, replacing injured co-captain Jack Grimes.

Magner, who played 17 matches in his first season at the club last year, has been in outstanding form for Casey this year.

He has regularly won 30 disposals or more for Casey each match this season.

The 25-year-old has not played for the Demons since round 20 against St Kilda last year.

The inside midfielder will now be eligible to play for Melbourne, given Grimes was placed on the long-term injury list last week.

The club promoted Magner on Thursday afternoon.
