Community Camp kicked off yesterday with the Melbourne Football Club visiting both the Morwell and Warragul communities.  Ten secondary schools were visited by the entire playing group, who spoke with students about sports nutrition and leadership.  Students were provided with an insight into a typical training session, focusing on preparation.  Players also discussed the leadership group, highlighting their responsibilities and the selection process.

The evening was capped off at Morwell Football Club, with more than thirty coaches attending the “Coach the Coach” session. Dean Bailey, Sean Wellman and Josh Mahoney shared their knowledge about skill and player development, and how to get the best out of the forward line structure and defence.  Head Physiotherapist, Sam Pietsch and Club Doctor Andrew Daff hosted the “Train the Trainer” forum, providing an insight into injury management and the importance of recovery.
