NATHAN Jones says ‘The Field of Women’ is “amazing” and has urged everyone to support the event.

This year, it will be held before Melbourne’s round 21 home match against the Sydney Swans at the MCG.

The co-captain said he was proud of the club’s association with ‘The Field of Women’.

“The fact that, as a footy club, we can get behind that is great,” he said.

“The energy and the feeling on the night is like no other – it’s pretty amazing to sense that.

“It’s an amazing way to raise awareness and build support for the network.”

Co-vice-captain Max Gawn concurred with Jones, adding that it was an “incredible” event.

“I’m pretty proud of the Melbourne Football Club to get involved in such an event,” he said.

“It’s electric and it’s great to play in games like this.

“We’re lucky enough, as players for the Melbourne Football Club, to be involved in such a really, really good charity and a really good game.”
