AS THE start of the new football season draws closer, Melbourne’s dedicated group of volunteers are gearing up for another busy and productive year championing the red and blue.

Volunteers continue to be a very important part of the Melbourne Football Club and play a vital role in our pursuit on and off field success.

With a diverse range of skills and talents, as well as a shared sense of enthusiasm and commitment, volunteers provide invaluable assistance across many different areas of the Club.

In 2014, our faithful volunteers will again be rolling up their sleeves and getting involved in a variety of ways.

Whether handing out scarves and assisting with membership sales in the marquees on match days, or lending a helping hand at football clinics and other assorted events and functions, volunteers will be a steady presence in the MFC community.

Behind the scenes, our successful volunteer telemarketing program will also be back again this year, in the effort to sign up unrenewed members, as we aim to reach the 40,000 member mark.

Involvement is not limited to those based in Melbourne, with passionate MFC volunteers found in every corner of Australia. Regional and interstate supporter groups all provide tireless assistance in various capacities and help ensure that support for the Club extends nationwide.
