From a promising defender to a first-year mature midfielder, find out how the players wearing No.41 to No.45 are tracking this pre-season ...

41. Troy Davis
Troy returned in really good condition after the end of season break. He has improved his endurance considerably and he’s working hard on his skill efficiency. Troy didn’t miss a session pre-Christmas. – Jade Rawlings

42. Jake Spencer
With the absence of Max Gawn and in some parts Mark Jamar, Jake has performed really strongly in a lot of the football components of training, particularly in stoppage training, where he has been the No.1 ruckman. We’ve been really impressed with Jake’s strength work in the gym – he is continually getting stronger. – Brian Royal

43. Rory Taggert
Rory’s been very consistent with his pre-season training. The pleasing aspect is that he’s completed most of the football and conditioning sessions, but we’re still monitoring the loads we put on him. We’ve been very impressed with his work so far in the pre-season. – Brian Royal

44. Rohan Bail
Ro has had a really good pre-season. He’s completed just about all of the sessions and his running has been at a very high level – he’s been up the front of the pack. He has really set himself up for 2013. – Leigh Brown

45. Matt Jones
With the limited time that he’s had at the club over the pre-season, we’ve been really impressed with Matt, particularly from a football point-of-view. He needs to get stronger in the gym, but that will come with further time in the program. – Brian Royal
