MELBOURNE has added three players to its extended squad for Sunday’s twilight clash against North Melbourne at the MCG.

The Demons have included defender Dean Terlich, speedster Sam Blease and dasher Daniel Nicholson.

No changes have yet to be made, with the final 22 to be named on Friday evening.

Former Crow Aidan Riley, first-year Demon Christian Salem, run-with player Jordie McKenzie and midfielder Matt Jones have been named on the seven-man bench, along with Terlich, Blease and Nicholson.

Terlich has played 11 of his 31 matches this season, but missed last round’s thrilling come-from-behind one-point win over Essendon at the MCG.

He was an emergency last round.

Blease has made 31 appearances for the Demons, but has yet to add to his tally this year.

The talented Demon was an emergency in the opening three rounds, but has since been playing for Casey. In recent weeks, he has played across half-back in the VFL and impressed.

Nicholson has been right on the cusp in recent weeks, having been an emergency in rounds 10 and 12.

In total, he has been an emergency five times, without adding to his 31 games for the Dees.

The Demons will be aiming to end a dismal 11-game losing streak against the Kangaroos.

Melbourne’s most recent win against North Melbourne came in round 20, 2006 at Etihad Stadium.
