KEY tall Jack Fitzpatrick faces a fitness test this week, after injuring his neck playing for Casey against Port Melbourne at North Port Oval last Saturday.

Fitzpatrick was taken to hospital during the match, but elite performance manager Dave Misson said it was a precautionary measure.

“He had a reasonable incident [involving] the head and neck,” he told Dee TV.

“He had some neck symptoms when he came off the ground and as a precaution, the doctor sent him up to the Alfred and he’s had a whole heap of tests done.

“Thankfully, all have come back good for Jack – there was no real structural damage.

“We’d probably expect him to train, maybe not tomorrow (Wednesday), but he’ll do a bit on Thursday and be available this week.”
