THERE will again be no car parking available in Yarra Park this weekend, due to existing wet conditions in the park and forecast for more rain in the coming days.
All public patrons, members, staff, emergency services personnel, media and people with disability permits who are attending events in the MCG precinct are encouraged to take public transport, or to seek alternative parking.
Disabled patrons - Saturday only
However, while Yarra Park will be closed, a limited number of parking spots will be available for disabled patrons on Saturday only in the Punt Road Oval hardstand car park. Access will be via Gate 6 on Punt Road from 4.30pm until capacity is reached.

The complete closure of Yarra Park to vehicles will affect the following events in the precinct:

Carlton v Collingwood (MCG)
Collingwood v Northern Blues (Holden Centre)
Sunday July 3
Melbourne v Adelaide (MCG)
Richmond v Casey Scorpions (Punt Road Oval)
