DOM Tyson says the mid-season break came at a good time, but he is now ready to take on the Adelaide Crows this Sunday at the MCG.

Tyson, who suffered knee, hamstring and ankle injuries last year, has missed just one match through illness in 2016.

But he said last round’s bye came at a good time for him and several players.

“It was timely for the break,” he told Melbourne TV.

“I had a little ankle niggle, but other than that, everyone has got something here or there, but we’re in pretty good shape as a whole.

“There have only been three or four boys in rehab, so we’ll have a good strong team out against Adelaide and in the VFL.

“It was good to have the bye and just mentally freshen up more than anything.”

Tyson said the team was ready to tackle the red-hot Crows, which have won their past five matches.

“They’re going really well,” he said.

“It’s a good chance to get back and play a really strong brand of footy and how we want to play football.

“We were off against the Swans in pretty miserable weather and conditions, so it’ll be good to get back on the ‘G and put in a really solid 120 minutes against the Crows.

“I feel like if we bring our best … it’ll be a good contest.”
