THE Casey Demons have been outclassed by an impressive Geelong unit, going down 10.8 (68) to 4.3 (27) at Queen’s Park, Highton.

After a tight first quarter on the scoreboard with goals apiece to Casey’s Kate Hore and Geelong’s Kate Darby, the Cats piled on three goals to one in the second to open up a 14-point lead at the main break.

Geelong continued their dominance in the third stanza, scoring two goals while keeping Casey to only a behind for the quarter.

In the final term, Casey’s Kaila Bentvelzen kicked two goals to take her to 11 for the season.

However the Cats continued to keep up the pressure, scoring four majors at the other end to complete a 41-point win.

Casey will look to bounce back next Saturday in Alice Springs against the NT Thunder.

The match will be played at the slightly familiar surrounds of TIO Traeger Park, where a number of Casey players were involved in Melbourne’s AFLW game against Collingwood in February.
