MELBOURNE has added five players to its squad for Sunday’s clash against St Kilda at Etihad Stadium.

The Demons have included Christian Petracca, Cam Pedersen, Jeff Garlett, Tim Smith and Josh Wagner in the 26-man squad.

Petracca has been named in the starting 18, after missing last round with a finger injury, due to a dog bite.

Pedersen, Garlett, T.Smith and Wagner have been named on the interchange, along with James Harmes, Charlie Spargo, Alex Neal-Bullen and Bayley Fritsch.

As expected, Christian Salem is the only player out at this stage, due to a thumb injury.

Jesse Hogan has been named in the starting 18, despite an ankle and knee problem.

Timothy Smith is aiming for his first match of the season, while Pedersen is looking to play his third game this year, after featuring in the opening two rounds.

Garlett and Wagner missed last round, but have otherwise played every match this season.

The final team will be named on Friday evening.

Melbourne will be aiming for its fourth win of the season and its fourth consecutive win at Etihad Stadium.
