MITCH Clark has been placed on the long-term injury list, with mature rookie James Magner upgraded as his replacement.

Clark has played just four matches this season due to a foot injury and was recently ruled out for the rest of 2013.

But the key forward did return to the rehab group early in the week and also completed some running.

Magner, who played 17 matches in his first season last year, has added two games in 2013.

He played against Richmond and Fremantle in rounds eight and nine respectively.

But the almost 26-year-old – his birthday is on August 12 – has produced some strong performances in the VFL this year.
