Johnson joined Melbourne through the 2022 NAB AFL Women’s Draft after a stellar campaign with the Casey Demons.
In 2021 and 2022 she was named Captain for the side, and in 2022 won the Casey Demons VFLW Best and Fairest.
She made her club debut in Round 1 of Season 7 and went onto play a further two games for the season.
After announcing she was pregnant in September 2022, she sat out the remainder of the season. She returned to the active list prior to Round 1 in Season 2023, just four months after giving birth.
