In the footsteps of other Irish recruits to the AFLW, Sinead Goldrick is a dual-code athlete.
She has played at the highest level in both Gaelic football and Australian Rules football. Goldrick captained Dublin Ladies in the 2014 All-Ireland Senior Ladies' Football Championship final and was a member of the Dublin team that won the All-Ireland Senior Ladies' Football Championship in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
She was also a member of the Dublin team that won the 2018 Ladies' National Football League. In 2020 she won her eight All-Star award (equivalent to being selected for an All-Australian squad).
In October 2019 it was announced that Goldrick had agreed to play for Melbourne Football Club, and moved to Australia for the 2020 season. She quickly made an impact in the AFLW side with her speed and athleticism and was part of the Premiership winning team of season 7.

The Melbourne Football Club acknowledges and pays respect to the Traditional Owners of the land in which we are privileged to play our great game of AFL on throughout Australia. We recognise the continued connection our custodians have to the land and its waters, and respectfully acknowledge Elders past, present and emerging and their contribution to the broader community, as we work towards an equitable and reconciled Australia.
