Watt was drafted by Carlton with the 40th pick overall in the 2018 AFLW draft. She then made her AFLW debut in round 2 of the 2019 season. She signed with St Kilda in the expansion signing period in April 2019, and was named a co-captain of the club in January 2020.
In June 2022, following an anterior cruciate ligament injury, Watt was delisted by St Kilda. A few days later, Melbourne signed Watt as a delisted free agent. In 2023, despite not playing a game for the Demons, Watt was added to the leadership team in recognition of her skills and experience both on and off field.

The Melbourne Football Club acknowledges and pays respect to the Traditional Owners of the land in which we are privileged to play our great game of AFL on throughout Australia. We recognise the continued connection our custodians have to the land and its waters, and respectfully acknowledge Elders past, present and emerging and their contribution to the broader community, as we work towards an equitable and reconciled Australia.
