Jackie Parry has informed the club of her decision to explore her options ahead of the next AFL Women’s season.

Parry, who joined the Demons during the 2019 AFL Women’s Draft, has played 22 senior games and kicked six goals in the red and blue.

Melbourne AFLW List Manager Todd Patterson said while it’s disappointing, the club respects the 25-year-old’s decision.

“Jackie has been a tremendous contributor to the Melbourne Football Club over the last few years,” he said.

“We have seen great development from Jackie during this time and while it’s sad to see her go, we understand the opportunities she has been offered.

“We wish Jackie all the best and will work to get a resolution of mutual benefit, once the AFLW Sign and Trade Period opens.”

The move will mark the second for Melbourne this off-season, with Brenna Tarrant earlier expressing her wish to return home to New South Wales, signing with Sydney.
