THE AFLCA has deemed star forward Tayla Harris best afield during Melbourne's Round 3 win over St Kilda.

On Saturday, Harris kick-started the Demons' campaign, registering the side's first two goals and keeping them in the contest, with St Kilda bringing the pressure early.

The No.7's aerial skills were put on display as she finished the game with eight marks and three majors, ultimately helping Melbourne to its 41-point win over the Saints.

Demons Lauren Pearce and Sarah Lampard received five votes apiece for their efforts. Pearce was a standout in the ruck, as always, bringing the side some much-needed energy at the beginning of the fourth quarter. She registered 13 disposals, 20 hit-outs and one goal.

Lampard, who returned to the side following a week on the sidelines under the AFL Health and Safety Protocols, was back to her best in defence with 17 disposals, 11 kicks and three tackles.

Tyla Hanks (three votes), Karen Paxman (two votes) and Libby Birch (one vote), were the three remaining Demons to poll during Melbourne's win.

St Kilda's Tilly Lucas-Rodd and Bianca Jakobsson rounded out the vote-getters from the day with three votes each.
