Player Bio

Lends premiership experience and pace to a line-up that lacks both and comes determined to make the most of a fresh start. The 28-year-old’s form at Collingwood was excellent in the first half of 2014 and he finished fourth in the best and fairest. Lumumba is an excellent rebounding defender who can also play on the wing. He has great agility and is desperate in the contest. Can get found out deep in defence, but has the experience and temperament to fight his way out of flat spots. At his best, he can light up the ground and turn defence into attack. Is due to play his 200th game in round one.

Player honours: All-Australian 2010; Collingwood premiership side 2010; Collingwood pre season premiership side 2011.

Brownlow Medal: career votes: 13

Previous AFL club: Collingwood (2005-14: 199 games, 28 goals).

Draft history: 2005 Rookie Draft selection (Collingwood) No. 20; 2006 rookie elevation(Collingwood); 2014 NAB AFL Draft traded by Collingwood for Mitch Clark.
