AFTER going into last week’s clash against the Tigers unchanged, Simon Goodwin may be looking to bring in some fresh faces for Round 6.

While continuity has been a big focus for the coach, the Demons have struggled to find the right mix of players, with the 27-point loss to the reigning premiers their second consecutive defeat of the season.

But with a few boys outside of last week’s 22 finding their form, there could be some moves at the selection table.

Take a look at four potential inclusions for the clash with Gold Coast at the GIANTS Stadium on Saturday.

Harley Bennell

Harley Bennell continues to excite Demon fans, despite missing out on a spot in the side over the past two weeks.

He had another impressive outing in their practice match at Punt Road Oval last weekend, finishing with over 35 disposals, while showing off his elite decision-making.

The club has been upfront about the ongoing management of his body, but the 27-year-old will be heavily considered for Round 6.

Sam Weideman

It’s no secret the Dees have struggled to find their best-functioning forward line in 2020 and many believe Sam Weideman could be the answer.

The 23-year-old was dominant in the practice match, kicking three goals, having multiple scoring involvements and standing his ground in the contest.

If a second tall forward is what Melbourne need, Weideman is ready to go, while youngster Luke Jackson will also be waiting in the wings.

 Mitch Brown

Mitch Brown could be another option for the Dees, if versatility is of interest.

He was named as an emergency for the AFL side last week, before playing a role at both ends of the ground in the scratch match against the Tigers.

The 29-year-old could also be the composed, reliable body the Demons require.

Neville Jetta

After being omitted in Round 4, Neville Jetta will certainly be pushing for his spot this week.

Melbourne’s development coach Matt Egan said he was outstanding down back in the hitout on Sunday, with his leadership proving to be the standout.

Jetta also finished with 21 disposals and has put himself in strong contention.
