TWO MELBOURNE young guns have been included in the AFL’s squad for the 2019 22under22 team, with Bayley Fritsch and Clayton Oliver both in the running to make the final side.

Fans now have the chance to cast their votes, with 40 talented players set to be cut to just 22.

Since being drafted from the Casey Demons in the 2017 National Draft, Fritsch has impressed in the red and blue with his ability to play in any position on the field.

In almost two seasons, the 22-year-old has managed 42 senior games, impressing most recently as a forward with an equal-career-high four goals against West Coast in Round 18.

Fritsch started the season with a role at half-back, but has also been utilised on the wing due to his classy ball use by foot.

Oliver is an equally as impressive prospect, having a serious impact in his 79 games at the top level since being selected with pick No.4 in the 2015 National Draft.

In just his second season, Oliver claimed the club’s best and fairest award, averaging 30 disposals per game throughout 2017.

The hard working 22-year-old has shown an incredible ability to win the footy, becoming one of the premier midfielders in the competition in a short period of time.
