MELBOURNE has added six players to its Round 17 squad, with three big names set to return against the Western Bulldogs this weekend.

Max Gawn, Jake Lever and Neville Jetta will all be taking to Marvel Stadium on Sunday afternoon, providing a significant boost for the Demons.

Oscar McDonald, Corey Wagner and Josh Wagner have also been named on the Dees’ extended interchange bench, with Tom McDonald (knee) and Marty Hore (collarbone) being withdrawn after suffering injuries against the Blues.

While the Demons have had a tough run on the injury front this season, some players are beginning to filter back into the side.

Gawn is back after missing the single week due to a rolled ankle and preparing to play alongside big man Braydon Preuss for just a third time in an exciting move for the club.

It has been a frustrating 2019 season for Jetta, playing just four games since being named the club’s vice-captain, but after undergoing surgery on his knee 12 weeks ago, he is finally ready to return.

Lever has also had his share of knee trouble recently, suffering bone bruising on Queen’s Birthday in what was his first game back from an ACL injury.

The 23-year-old played alongside Jetta in the VFL last weekend and is set to take to Docklands on Sunday – the same venue he ruptured his ACL at last season.
