MAX Gawn’s display against Adelaide has earned him the equal-most votes in the Round 11 AFL Coaches Association Award.

The Melbourne ruckman received nine votes from the coaches in the Demons’ two-point loss at TIO Stadium, finishing with 30 hitouts, 25 disposals and seven marks.

Adelaide’s Brad Crouch was also awarded nine votes for his 29-disposal effort.

Midfielder Clayton Oliver was the only other player of the red and blue to be recognised, earning four votes with his 34 touches, six marks and a goal.

Crows Tom Lynch (six votes) and Rory Laird (two votes) rounded out those judged best afield in the Top End.

Gawn now moves to equal-tenth on the leaderboard (38 votes), with Geelong’s Tim Kelly on top (63 votes).
