The Melbourne Football Club’s major partnership with the South East Juniors (SEJ) continues to grow by the minute with Melbourne co-captain Jack Viney presenting SEJ clubs with individually signed jumpers at Casey Fields last week.

The inaugural MFC-SEJ Day saw clubs from right across the SEJ invited to attend a special presentation, hosted by Casey Football General Manager Peter Maynard, with special guests including MFC General Manager – Football Operations, Josh Mahoney, and AFL South East Region General Manager John Anderson.

City of Casey Deputy Mayor, Cr Amanda Stapledon, was also on hand as Maynard explained the importance of the partnership between the Melbourne Football Club and SEJ to club representatives.

“The partnership between Melbourne and SEJ is very exciting for both parties, with Melbourne looking to work closely with the SEJ to provide pathways for elite talent, but at the same time encourage and develop the participation of football at all levels, “ Maynard said.

“Melbourne Football Club and the Casey Demons are excited to be involved in the partnership, and we’re in it for the long haul.

“Recent funding will help us take our facilities to the next level and provide opportunities for SEJ participants that we only could have dreamed of in the past. We look forward to the coming years and to see how the program develops.”

Viney stayed around for a chat with SEJ club representatives, with the game between Casey and Sandringham keeping everyone entertained.
