The former No.2 draft pick produced an excellent year in 2011, finishing fifth in the best and fairest. Unfortunately, he became the victim of a renewed resolve to stamp out the sling tackle when he was suspended for three weeks after tackling Adelaide’s Patrick Dangerfield in round seven. A good mark for his size, with clean hands, he has a bit of Jimmy Bartel about him. He can accumulate possessions and kicked 13 goals in 2011 and could develop into a goal-a-game midfielder. Signed a contract extension that ties him to Melbourne until 2015.
