A member of the Demons’ leadership group last year, Jones relished the opportunity to lift his teammates whenever he could. Spent time on the wing in 2011 as well as in the centre square. Always committed, he has improved his decision-making, is solid over the ball and never backs away from a contest. His fourth placing in the best and fairest was a good reward for his efforts. Even allowing for his bullocking style, he probably gives away too many free kicks but he is a vital, consistent player about to enter the prime of his career.

Player honours: 2nd best and fairest 2007; NAB AFL Rising Star nominee 2006, 2007.
