Melbourne defender Jack Grimes will miss three to four weeks of football, after developing a stress injury in his lower back.

Melbourne coach Dean Bailey said, 'This is very disappointing for Jack, and for the Club.  Jack has completed a full pre-season, and has worked incredibly hard throughout.  We are hopeful that Jack will respond well to the treatment, and will be available for selection in three to four weeks.'

Once Jack has completed a two week rehabilitation phase, the aim is for him to return to training in order to undertake preparation to play.
