MELBOURNE'S strong presence at Casey Fields will continue throughout summer, with the red and blue hosting various events in the region. 

The Demons will kick the year off with an AFLW Open Training session on Saturday 12 January, which will be followed by a player-run junior clinic, for children aged between five and 12 years.

Melbourne will then return to Casey Fields throughout February and March for the AFL Women's competition. The team will host Fremantle in its season-opener on Sunday 3 February, before taking on North Melbourne on Sunday 24 February and Adelaide on Saturday 16 March. 

The AFL side will also feature at the ground during the JLT Community Series, going up against Brisbane on Saturday 9 March.

AFLW Open Training and Clinic

Join Melbourne for its AFLW Open Training session on Saturday 12 January, from 9am until 11am. The session will be followed by a junior footy clinic from 11.15am until 12.30pm, which will be hosted by the AFLW players.

The clinic is aimed at children aged 5-12 years, where they’ll learn some new footy skills from the professional women’s team and have a whole lot of footy fun. There will also be giveaways, activities, player autographs and Daisy the mascot in attendance.

Cheer on Melbourne’s AFLW team in 2019

Melbourne will host three AFLW matches at Casey Fields in 2019, including its season opener against Fremantle. At each game day, there will be activities for the kids, prizes to be won and lots of family fun! Entry is free.

Round 1, Sunday 3 February, 3.05pm – Melbourne v Fremantle

Round 4, Sunday 24 February, 4.05pm – Melbourne v North Melbourne

Round 7, Saturday 16 March, 4.45pm – Melbourne v Adelaide

AFL JLT Community Series

Melbourne’s AFL team will also return to Casey Fields in 2019. The red and blue will host the Brisbane Lions on Saturday 9 March at 4.10pm.
