MELBOURNE’s scintillating start to 2018 has been recognised by AFL Media, who have named three Demons in their mid-season All-Australian team.

With 35 goals for the season so far, Jesse Hogan’s evolution into one of the game’s premier forwards has been recognised with selection in the forward pocket.

Ruckman Max Gawn and on-baller Clayton Oliver have also been selected as followers.

Gawn has amassed 534 hit-outs in 2018 – 115 more than the next best ruckman in Brodie Grundy – while Oliver continues to rack up disposals at an average of just over 26 a game.

Hogan and Oliver have never been selected in the final All-Australian team while Max Gawn was selected in 2016.
