JORDAN Lewis says the Demons are hellbent on ending a horrible streak against North Melbourne at the MCG on Saturday.

The Demons haven’t beaten the Kangaroos since round 20, 2006 and have lost their past 17 games against the Roos.

Although Lewis has been involved in just two Melbourne losses against North Melbourne, he said he was “well aware” of the club’s losing streak against the Roos.

“Certainly, after the game in Hobart last year, it was brought to my attention,” he told SEN 1116 on Wednesday.

“I’m not sure if there has been a way that they’ve played against us in previous years … or whether it’s been a mental thing for the boys.

“Both sides are keen to play this weekend, and no doubt we’re keen to back up that win we had in Brisbane.

“We’re planning on it not being 18 in a row.”

Melbourne will play North Melbourne once this year.
